On November 19, Yuchai Group strengthened its global footprint by welcoming Cristiano, General Manager of Brazilian engine manufacturer MWM, along with his delegation, for high-level talks with Yuchai leadership, including Chairman Li Hanyang. The meeting culminated in the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement, launching a new phase of collaboration between the two companies.

MWM, the largest diesel and gas engine manufacturer in Latin America, carries considerable brand influence across the region. Yuchai, through years of strategic overseas expansion, has also built a strong market foundation in Brazil and throughout Latin America, setting the stage for this partnership.

Following several rounds of executive-level exchanges throughout 2025, the two companies reached a consensus on cooperation, leading to the formalization of this agreement. As part of the partnership, MWM will act as a key distributor for Yuchai in Latin America, promoting and selling Yuchai engines and related components across multiple sectors. These include trucks, buses, specialized vehicles, construction and agricultural machinery, generator sets, as well as marine and mining applications.

Both companies affirmed that this agreement lays the groundwork for broader collaboration in engine technology, localized production, and market expansion. The partnership will further Yuchai’s internationalization strategy while supporting the transition to sustainable, green energy solutions in Latin America.

The signing ceremony was also attended by Leandro, Strategic Planning Manager at MWM, as well as Yuchai Share Deputy General Managers Ning Xingyong and Wang Limin.
