Zhongtong Bus Presses the "Fast-Forward Button" on Electrification in Belgium
11 October 2025
From October 4th to 9th, 2025, the Busworld Brussels, the world's largest and longest-running professional bus exhibition, was grandly held in Brussels. The event showcased product upgrades, brand evolution, and the convergence of diverse ecosystems, sending waves of future green mobility sweeping across the globe.
At this year's exhibition, the trend towards new energy vehicles gained formidable momentum, powering a vigorous wave of green transformation. Chinese bus brands collectively made a strong push, debuting multiple iteratively upgraded new energy products and cutting-edge technologies, injecting powerful "Chinese momentum" into the cause of global sustainable transportation.
As one of the world's earliest pioneers in the R&D and promotion of new energy buses, Zhongtong Bus showcased its comprehensive portfolio of new energy bus solutions at Busworld, pressing the "fast-forward button" on global electrification.
Zhongtong Bus Wins Recognition from Global Users
At this globally watched spectacle, Zhongtong officially launched the H12E-Plus all-electric premium coach and the N12D (European Version) all-electric city bus. They were joined by other new energy models like the N18, N12, and V7, forming a complementary and technologically synergistic product matrix that delivers more targeted solutions for global all-electric premium passenger transport and urban public mobility.
At the event, Zhongtong's five all-electric models attracted numerous international clients, industry experts, and media representatives, who stopped to examine them closely and experience them firsthand. Inquiries, observations, and discussions have been constant – since the opening, Zhongtong's booth has been bustling with crowds. Thanks to their robust product strength, Zhongtong's all-electric buses became a focal point of attention, consistently winning favor.
Upon its launch, the Zhongtong H12E-Plus received immediate acclaim from a Portuguese client, culminating in the delivery of its first vehicle. Previously, Zhongtong had already become the leading new energy bus supplier in Portugal, capturing over 50% market share. With the delivery of the H12E-Plus all-electric premium coach, Zhongtong is poised to provide Portugal with an even more comprehensive green mobility solution.
Following the delivery and successful operation of custom-built new energy city buses for Denmark's Bornholm island in September, which earned praise from the local operator, Zhongtong marked another milestone in its European market presence at this exhibition with a batch delivery of N18 all-electric buses to another Danish client.
Notably, the exhibition also brought significant attention and trust from the Americas. A client from Costa Rica signed a contract on-site for 140 Zhongtong all-electric city buses, including various models like N12, N10, and N8, to meet the diverse public transport needs of the local market.
Competing at the Higher End of the Global Value Chain
To address the diverse needs of different global markets, Zhongtong Bus adheres to a localization strategy, tailoring solutions specifically for each market. From conducting in-depth research on local regulations and standards to securing international product certifications; from enhancing overall vehicle reliability to improving environmental adaptability – understanding and fulfilling local requirements is a core focus in Zhongtong's global expansion.
Through continuous innovation and technological accumulation, Zhongtong has built a robust capability to meet diverse global challenges. Whether it's the battery thermal management systems developed for Nordic extreme cold, the efficient cooling solutions customized for Middle Eastern high temperatures, or the anti-corrosion body processes engineered for Southeast Asia's rainy climates, each demonstrates Zhongtong's technical resilience in precisely responding to and consistently meeting the "needs of the world."
Market success stands as the best proof. In Chile, nearly two thousand Zhongtong all-electric buses have become a mainstay in serving the green public transport systems of the capital and surrounding cities. Meanwhile, Zhongtong all-electric buses have entered service at Egypt's Pyramids complex, safeguarding this human heritage site with zero-emission travel; its pure-electric double-decker buses navigate the streets of Singapore, providing innovative solutions for public transport and tourism in high-density urban environments...
To date, over 100,000 Zhongtong new energy buses are operating across the globe. They are not only providing the world with green, intelligent, and efficient travel experiences but are also showcasing the quality standards and innovative strength of Chinese manufacturing, continuously enhancing the reputation and influence of Chinese bus brands worldwide.
Zhongtong Bus's impressive performance at Busworld Brussels is merely a snapshot of its journey onto the global stage. Moving forward, Zhongtong Bus will continue to uphold its commitment to quality, driven by innovation, accelerating its strategic layout in overseas markets, demonstrating the exceptional capabilities of Chinese bus brands to the world, and contributing to better mobility for humanity.
