BYD Showcases Its All-New Electric Bus Family at Busworld Europe 2025
05 October 2025

BYD also presented two popular models, the B12.b and B13.b, along with a 12-meter high-floor chassis, offering a complete range of safe, efficient, and eco-friendly transport solutions for Europe’s public transit systems.
New Platform, More Options
The 12-meter high-floor B12.b HF is designed for commuting, intercity routes, and tourism. Based on BYD’s e-BUS 3.0 platform, it offers 5.7 cubic meters of luggage space, enough to hold 121 suitcases. It’s powered by BYD’s proprietary Blade Battery (495 kWh) and can travel up to 650 km on a single charge. With intelligent driver assistance and enhanced safety features, it provides both higher efficiency and a more comfortable ride.
The B18.b articulated bus sets a new benchmark for 18-meter electric buses. Equipped with BYD’s CTC (cell-to-chassis) integrated battery technology, it carries a 746 kWh battery and can run up to 630 km per charge. It can transport up to 146 passengers and features a 4th-generation articulation control system with hydraulic damping, improving stability and handling on turns.
A new regenerative braking system ensures reliable braking even when the battery is fully charged or driving downhill for long periods, reducing brake wear and overheating. An optional four-wheel-drive system further enhances safety and performance on slopes, snow, or icy roads.
Driving Europe’s Green Transportation with Full Industry Strength
As a global leader in new energy commercial vehicles, BYD is the only manufacturer mastering all core technologies — batteries, motors, electronic controls, and chips — fully in-house. With more than a decade of local operations, BYD has become one of the key players driving public transport electrification across Europe.
Li Ke, Executive Vice President of BYD, said:
“We are proud to showcase our latest products and technologies in Europe. The debut of our new electric bus family, together with the expansion of our local production and service capabilities, shows BYD’s strong commitment to advancing sustainable transportation.”
BYD continues to deepen its local presence in Europe, strengthening production, service, and supply chain networks. The expansion of its electric bus plant in Hungary and the opening of the UK’s first manufacturer-owned battery after-sales service center mark important steps in this journey.
With its complete industrial chain, BYD not only offers integrated solutions for European customers but also contributes to greener and more sustainable urban mobility.
So far, over 5,000 BYD electric buses have been put into operation across 26 countries and more than 160 cities in Europe. Looking ahead, BYD will continue to partner with more European and global customers to create a cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable future for public transportation.
