Busworld Europe 2025 Opens with Strong Chinese Presence, Topping Germany in Exhibitor Numbers

03 October 2025

Busworld Europe 2025 is set to begin, showcasing a significant shift in global participation, with China now ranking second in exhibitor numbers, ahead of Germany for the first time.

The exhibition will fully occupy 85,000 square meters across nine halls, with 6.8 km of aisles connecting the stands. A total of 550 exhibitors from 40 countries will take part, including 81 bus manufacturers. "Despite 7,000 square meters of late cancellations, we reassigned the space in a matter of days," said Managing Director Mieke Glorieux during a press conference on the afternoon of October 2.

This year's event will feature 252 vehicles displayed indoors and an additional 32 stationed outside for live demonstrations. “If placed bumper-to-bumper, the buses would stretch 5.1 kilometers,” Glorieux noted.

China Rises in Global Exhibitor Rankings

The 2025 edition highlights China’s growing influence in the international bus industry. The country now contributes 85 exhibitors, surpassing Germany’s 68 and closing in on leader Turkey, which brings 107 companies. This marks a notable shift from the 2023 rankings, where Turkey led with 96 exhibitors, followed by Germany (79) and China (61).

Compared to the previous edition, the 2025 fair records a 4% increase in exhibitors, a 12% expansion in floor space, and a 27% rise in the number of vehicles on display.

Busworld Europe 2025 opens as a key platform for global manufacturers—with Chinese companies positioned prominently amid a reordering of the industry’s competitive landscape.
