With its New Generation Battery Electric Intercity Bus IC12E Yutong is showcasing "Electrification Innovation". Besides the new intercity IC12E and other products by the Chinese manufacturer there will be also on the stand, the premium city bus U12 engineered for main urban routes. Yutong offers Europe a full range of electric products.

The IC12E is specifically engineered for high-frequency intercity operations. With a maximum range of 610 km under SORT2 conditions, it delivers robust power performance and a 20% maximum grade-ability. "Yutong remains convinced that the future of public mobility lies in providing sustainable transportation solutions for our customers. We will accelerate our electrification journey with greater resolve, building a greener world through eco-friendly solutions", says Jack Li, CEO of Yutong Central & Northern Europe. With the IC12E Yutong went this summer on a three-day, 1,272 km comprehensive road test across four European countries: Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. From Hamburg, Germany to Copenhagen, Denmark, it has travelled 510km on a single charge. The SOC dropped to 28% from 99%, with about 173km showing on the range indicator, demonstrating impressive range performance.

When it finally arrived in Oslo, Norway, the total power consumption was 926 kWh, an average of 0.7kWh/km (under non-full load conditions). The second bus, U12, was winner of the Busworld 2023 Design Label, features a 12-meter body capable of carrying up to 95 passengers. In 2024, Yutong Bus achieved sales of 46,918 units – a year-on-year increase of 28.48%. In the first half of 2025, they led new bus registrations with 852 units and a market share of 16%, up from 14% during the same period in 2024. The first units of the ICE12 have been delivered to Italian operator V.I.T.A. for service in the Alpine terrain of the Valle d’Aosta region. The 12.66-meter bus features a high-floor design, 47 seats, and is packed with advanced digital features, including GSR2-compliant ADAS and over-the-air update capability. The Yutong IC12E is participating in the contest for the prestigious Busworld Vehicle Awards 2025. It will compete in the Coach category.
