On September 25, 2025, the Liaoning Investment and Trade Fair opened in grand fashion. Huanghai Auto showcased new bus model V8 (DD6600 EVD1)  in the Dandong exhibition area, drawing considerable attention with their innovative design and outstanding performance. The display fully demonstrated the company’s technical expertise and dynamic development in the commercial vehicle sector.

V8: Age-Friendly Innovation Reshaping Urban Mobility

The showcased “Sweet Berry V8” (DD6600 EVD1) is a pure electric low-floor city bus that integrates safety, intelligence, eco-friendliness, and multi-scenario applicability, making it an ideal choice for urban public transport and customized travel services.

Capable of maneuvering flexibly through narrow streets and reaching deep into residential communities, the V8 effectively fills the coverage gaps left by mainline bus routes. By enabling a “trunk line + microcirculation” network, it significantly lowers public transportation costs for citizens. It not only substitutes for short-distance private car trips but also precisely meets high-frequency travel needs such as commuting, school runs, tourism, and medical visits—playing an important role in optimizing the public transport network and elevating the quality of travel services.

In response to national age-friendly policies and the call for green travel, the bus features a low-floor design that allows elderly passengers to board in just one step. It is built with a fully enclosed high-strength body structure, combined with electronic mirrors and a 360° panoramic viewing system, ensuring top-level safety. The cabin is equipped with automotive-grade amenities, including a 12.3-inch intelligent central control screen and a seating capacity of up to 15+1, delivering a premium driving and riding experience.

Powering the vehicle is a CATL battery backed by a 10-year or 1-million-kilometer warranty, which also supports liquid cooling technology.

The body adopts a fully enclosed high-strength closed-loop structure that balances safety and lightweight design. Inside, a continuous dashboard layout, full LCD instrument panel, and 12.3-inch intelligent central control system create a car-like driving environment. Features such as an electronic parking brake, hidden fare box, versatile seating for up to 15+1 passengers, and electronic side mirrors coupled with a 360° surround-view system collectively enhance comfort and safety.

The vehicle is equipped with CATL’s 127.5 kWh fifth-generation battery, which comes with a 10-year or 1-million-kilometer warranty and guarantees battery degradation of no more than 20%. With IP68-level waterproof and dustproof protection, an anti-collision structure, and an intelligent fire suppression system, the battery offers triple safety assurance. The coaxial e-drive axle design offers high integration and optimal transmission efficiency. Additionally, the vehicle can be operated with a Class B driver’s license, significantly reducing operational costs.
