With the official launch of the 2025 Harbin Lilac Flower Appreciation Season, a fleet of Ankai double-decker sightseeing buses, adorned in purple "floral attire," began shuttling between iconic city landmarks such as Central Street and Sun Island, offering tourists a brand-new immersive sightseeing experience.
During the May Day holiday, these buses officially commenced passenger operations and became a crucial transportation force in the "Ice City" to "welcome guests from all directions." As Harbin's first immersive "Lilac-Themed Sightseeing Bus," the vehicle was innovatively introduced by Harbin Chunqiu Sightseeing Bus Co., Ltd. By deeply integrating natural aesthetics with urban culture, it transforms into a mobile city exhibition hall, redefining the urban sightseeing experience and injecting fresh vitality into the "Enchanting Harbin Summer."
During the May Day holiday, the popularity of Harbin's cultural and tourism market continued to soar. According to big data calculations, Harbin received a cumulative total of 7.129 million tourists during the holiday, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.3%. As the city flower and cultural symbol of Harbin, lilacs naturally became a significant check-in element for tourists' itineraries. The Ankai "Lilac-Themed Sightseeing Bus," blossoming on the streets in an innovative form, emerged as a new highlight in the holiday's cultural and tourism experiences.

The Ankai "Lilac-Themed Sightseeing Bus" features a panoramic sunroof design, with the vehicle's body vividly presenting the dynamic visual effect of purple lilac petals falling through 3D printing technology. As the bus moves, it resembles a cluster of flowing lilac bouquets, ingeniously extending the temporal and spatial dimensions of the lilac flower appreciation season. Inside, the bus innovatively adopts an adjustable seating layout that balances sightseeing and relaxation functions. Some buses even offer light meal services on certain trips, meeting tourists' diverse needs to "savor delicacies while enjoying the scenic views." Additionally, the buses are equipped with a multilingual audio guide system that narrates Harbin's century-old history and lilac culture through scenic storytelling, allowing tourists to deeply connect with the city's fabric and sense its cultural pulse while moving from one scene to another.

To cope with the passenger flow peak during the May Day holiday, Chunqiu Bus added two themed vehicles to its original fleet of six double-decker sightseeing buses. It also increased the daily departure frequency of sightseeing buses to 61 trips, with operating hours covering from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM. This high-frequency, long-duration service supply effectively alleviated the holiday passenger transportation pressure. Meanwhile, by extending the operating period, the cultural radiation effect of the lilac flower appreciation season was continuously released, injecting new momentum into the integrated development of culture and tourism in Harbin.

As a benchmark for cultural and tourism innovation in Harbin, the themed sightseeing buses deeply integrate traditional culture with modern technology, turning the concept of a "mobile city exhibition hall" into reality. This project is a vivid practice of Harbin's implementation of a four-season tourism strategy, activating cultural and tourism resources through a "season-by-season thematic" approach. It not only helps Harbin build a four-season, all-region tourism ecosystem but also provides an innovative model for the transformation and upgrading of the cultural and tourism industry in Northeast China's old industrial bases.
As a pioneer in the field of integrating transportation and tourism, Ankai Bus continues to deeply cultivate technological innovation and scenario-based operations. Using double-decker sightseeing buses as carriers, it explores new paths for the transformation of public transportation into tourism experience platforms. Currently, Ankai double-decker sightseeing buses have been launched and operated in multiple cities domestically and internationally, bringing tourists a brand-new cultural and tourism travel experience through the innovative integration model of "transportation + tourism."
Looking ahead, with the continuous deepening of the "transportation + tourism" model, Ankai Bus will continue to play a leading role, creating unique "cultural and tourism IPs on wheels" for more cities and injecting new momentum into the integrated development of transportation and tourism.
