Zhongtong N-Series Buses Upgrade Public Transport Services in Uzbekistan Namangan Region

10 April 2025

The first batch of 30 Zhongtong N-Series urban buses has been officially delivered to Namangan Region, Uzbekistan. This marks the region's inaugural adoption of more convenient and comfortable low-entry city buses with a single-step design, significantly contributing to the enhancement of the local public transportation system.

In recent years, to further improve public transit quality across Uzbekistan and facilitate residents' commutes, the Uzbek Ministry of Transport has collaborated with regional governments to accelerate the renewal of bus fleets, strengthen infrastructure development, optimize operational models, and drive nationwide upgrades to public transportation networks.

All buses delivered to Namangan are Zhongtong N-Series natural gas vehicles equipped with Weichai high-efficiency natural gas engines and lightweight body technology, ensuring low fuel consumption, robust power, and a 350-kilometer range per fill.

Tailored to local operational needs, the buses feature single-step entry designs, wheelchair ramps for accessibility, high passenger capacities, and automatic transmissions for smoother handling. These configurations fully accommodate peak-hour travel demands while ensuring ease of boarding for all passengers.

During the ceremony, Namangan Governor Shavkat Abdulazizov emphasized that the new fleet would greatly benefit residents, particularly seniors and students. He also noted that dedicated bus lanes have been established on Islam Karimov Street, Alisher Navoiy Street, and Nodira Nomongoni Street to enhance traffic efficiency.
