MAN Truck & Bus is doubling down on its e-mobility roadmap with two major premieres at Busworld Europe:

- The MAN eCoach will mark the company’s first fully electric touring coach, designed as a zero emission alternative to the Lion’s Coach. It will offer a range of up to 500 km and space for 50+ passengers, built on MAN's proven eTruck battery packs and long-distance architecture.

- Also making its debut is the second generation of the MAN Lion’s City 12 E, a fully electric city bus now 500 kg lighter than the previous model. With an enhanced driveline, optimized regeneration and a range of up to 500 km, it is designed for heavy-duty urban routes without mid-day charging. Updates include a revamped driver's area and a new infotainment system.

Solaris Bus & Coach will unveil the Urbino 12 Hydrogen 2.0, the second generation of itshydrogen bus. This new model features a lighter frame, a more compact and efficient fuelcell system, and enhanced battery capacity. The vehicle is tailored for zero emission urbanroutes with extended range requirements — up to 700 km on a single fill.

BYD has announced the European debut of a new electric city bus featuring solid-statebattery technology, aimed at boosting energy density and thermal stability.VinFast, Vietnam’s emerging e-mobility powerhouse, will make its European debut atBusworld Europe — the first Vietnamese brand to ever exhibit at the event.

VinFast willshowcase a 12-metre electric city bus, already in service in Vietnam, with a range of 300–350 km, developed in collaboration with Pininfarina and powered by Siemens technology.The brand emphasises full vertical integration, from battery manufacturing to final assembly,and aims to enter five EU markets by 2026.

Alfabus, a Chinese OEM, will present two electric bus models (12m and 18m) builtspecifically for the European market with full EU type approval. This marks the brand’srenewed attempt to enter Europe via Busworld.

UNVI, the Spanish manufacturer, is launching the SIL Electric, a low-entry coach for regularregional services. With seating for up to 59 passengers and a range of 400 km, it targetsoperators in need of middle to long-distance flexibility.

Suppliers push integration and smart maintenance

ZF will present the latest evolution of its integrated electric axle, combining motor, inverterand transmission into a single, compact unit to simplify installation and servicing.

Voith will expand its eDrive portfolio with a solution tailored to electric long-distancecoaches. The company will also introduce new hydrogen components in line with its multienergy strategy.

ACTIA Group will present an updated telematics suite for predictive maintenance, enablingmixed fleet operators to track performance, diagnose faults and schedule servicing beforefailures occur.
