Allison Transmission Promotes Atak Talas to Executive Director of Asia Pacific Sales

February 7, 2025, Allison Transmission is pleased to announce the promotion of Atak Talas to Executive Director of Asia Pacific Sales, effective March 1.
In his new role, Talas will lead the Asia Pacific team in executing strategic growth objectives and launching new product initiatives. Based in Japan, he will focus on enhancing customer experience and connectivity, driving continued growth, and fostering a compelling team experience. Talas is replacing Brian Geiselhart, who has held the role since 2022 and will be repatriating back to the United States for a new role focused on Allison’s licensing and partnership initiatives.

About Atak Talas, Executive Director of Asia Pacific Sales
In his fourteen-year career at Allison, Talas has held multiple cross-functional roles, each with increasing responsibility. His roles have includeded a Customer Integration Engineer, OEM Account Manager, Segment Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Director of Turkey and Middle East Sales with his most recent appointment in 2024 as Managing Director of East Asia Sales, overseeing sales and strategy in Japan, Korea and Australia.
Before joining Allison, Talas served as a research and development engineer at Daimler, focusing on the engine and transmission components of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Boğaziçi University and a Master of Business Administration from Bahçeşehir University.
