Winner of the Bus of the Year 2025 title at FIAA Trade Fair in Madrid

FIAA, the International Bus and Coach Trade Fair, taking place from October 22-25, is a perfect opportunity to take a look at the Bus of the Year 2025. This year in Madrid, Solarisis showcasing the articulated Urbino 18 hydrogen bus, a model that received this prestigiousaward just one month ago. On October 22, the FIAA trade fair (Feria Internacional del Autobús y del Autocar), one of the keyindustry events in Europe, began. This year, Solaris is presenting the Urbino 18 hydrogen, a bus thatrecently won the highly-prized title of Bus of the Year 2025.

The Urbino 18 hydrogen, displayed at the stand, is a model that was produced for the Germanoperator Rebus Regionalbus Rostock, based in Güstrow. The order placed by Rebus RegionalbusRostock in April last year for the delivery of 52 hydrogen buses – 47 of which are 12-meter modelsand 5 articulated models – is one of the largest orders the manufacturer has received for hydrogen fuelcell vehicles. Solaris' experience in zero-emission technology includes the delivery of over 3,000battery and hydrogen vehicles to more than 200 cities across Europe.

In Madrid, on the day prior to the start of the trade fair, a ceremony for the prestigious SustainableBus Award was held. This year, the main award in the Urban category went to the Solaris Urbino 12electric with modular drive. This electric bus features flexible configuration, optimized battery capacity,increased passenger space, and an exceptional range of 600 km on a single charge (based on theeSORT 2 test).
