16 May 2024
In this grand exhibition, more than half of the exhibitors came from China, highlighting the strong influence and competitiveness of China buses and parts industry on the international stage, as well as showcasing the excellent quality of Made in China products. As one of the Outstanding representative in China buses manufacturing industry, Golden Dragon Bus attracted countless eyes with its superb craftsmanship and leading technology. Meanwhile, top Chinese component enterprises such as Songz Automobile Air Conditioning, Jingyida Auto Parts, and Guangzhou STONKAM also brought their latest products and technologies, demonstrating the excellence and innovation of Chinese manufacturing.
The 12-meter electric bus jointly exhibited by Golden Dragon and its Indonesian partner SAG became one of the highlights of the exhibition. This electric bus, specially designed for the Asian market, demonstrates excellent performance with a range of 250 kilometers. The phosphoric acid iron lithium battery provided by CATL, with a maximum storage capacity of 326kWh, further highlights its leading technical strength.
Songz Automobile Air Conditioning, founded in 1998, has been focusing on the manufacture of bus air conditioning and truck refrigeration equipment. At the exhibition, they showcased products specifically designed for electric buses, such as the LMD air conditioning equipment, which not only provides a comfortable riding environment for passengers but also integrates an advanced Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS). It's worth mentioning that Songz has established a factory in Indonesia to better serve the Southeast Asian market.
The splendid appearance of these outstanding Chinese enterprises not only brought China's advanced bus technology and high-quality products to Southeast Asia but also provided local customers and consumers with a brand-new transportation experience. Their excellent performance not only demonstrates the international competitiveness of China's bus and accessory industry but also lays a solid foundation for the further expansion of Chinese enterprises in the Southeast Asian market.
Indonesia, as the largest market in Southeast Asia, has more than 280 million residents. Due to the relative lack of railway systems in cities and surrounding areas, buses and coaches have become the dominant public transportation tools in Indonesia, which also makes the market have huge growth potential and commercial value.
To address traffic congestion and air pollution issues, the use of public transportation in Indonesia is rapidly increasing. The Ministry of Transportation is investing heavily in and promoting the use of new energy vehicles, and has set a goal of putting 41,000 electric buses into operation by 2024. Meanwhile, Transjakarta, the Jakarta city bus company, has also formulated ambitious plans to expand its electric bus fleet to 10,000 by 2030.
In addition, to improve traffic and logistics conditions, the Indonesian government is undertaking large-scale construction of road infrastructure. Their goal is to increase the length of toll roads to 5,103 kilometers by 2024 and 18,800 kilometers by 2030. Meanwhile, the length of Jakarta's Bus Rapid Transit system will also increase from 431 kilometers to 2,149 kilometers. With the improvement of road infrastructure and the increase in public transportation usage, it is expected that the bus and coach market will see significant growth.
