Higer Buses Become an Indispensable Part of the Cityscape in Serbia

On the evening of May, 7, Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Belgrade, capital of Serbia, starting a state visit to the central European country. Apart from Chinese national flags, Higer buses and coaches have also become an indispensable part of the cityscape in Serbia.

According to Higer, it delivered a batch of five units electric buses to its customer in Serbia in 2016, marking a big milestone for the bus maker and the country’s public transport network.

In Dec., 2019, 174 units Higer electric city buses with Euro VI Emission Standards started operation in Serbia. With a total value of over 300 million RMB, the deal made a new record in the country’s bus import. In 2021, the Serbian bus operator purchased another batch of 10 units Higer electric buses. With extremely high quality standards and timely after-sales services, Higer has long earned the trust of Serbian bus operators and won wide acclaims from local residents.

Serbian President Vucic drives Higer bus

Currently, Higer is the leading bus brand in Serbia, playing a pivotal role in the country’s public transport network. Consuming less than one kW.h of electricity, Measuring 12-meter in length, Higer electric city bus is highly safe and extremely durable. With three doors and a low-floor access, it has a number of customized features for Belgrade, fully meeting the demand of 18-hour operation everyday in the country . Apart from Serbia, it has successfully made its way to Bulgaria, Austria, Italy and several other European countries.

Back in 2015 when the fourth China-Central and East European Countries (CEEC) Summit was held, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, paid an official visit to Higer, paving the way for the official operation of Higer electric buses in Belgrade in the next year.

In 2017, the first Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held in Beijing. During the forum, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met Huang Shuping, General Manager of Higer, spoke highly of Higer electric buses for their superb safety standards and outstanding energy efficiency.

In May, 2023, participants of Serbian State Governance Seminar paid a visit to Higer, showing their keen interest in the bus maker’s new energy buses and driverless buses.

At 2023 Busworld Exhibition held in Brussels, Higer officially released its Fencer (F1) electric city bus, a high-end electric bus. Also on display are its Azure 9 and Azure 7, two public transportation solutions for European market.
