According to Golden Dragon, its overseas sales reached a new record high, up by 52.8% year on year.
“I’ve been to many countries. Golden Dragon buses can be found almost everywhere. Besides, the bus maker boasts a wide spectrum of public transportation solutions, meeting different needs and requirements. As one of the major tourist destinations, Nepal is determined to upgrade its public transport network and provide zero-emission transportation services for tourists from all over the world. That’s why I want to introduce Golden Dragon buses to Nepal”, said Rages Kazi Shrestha, a bus operator in Nepal.
“We made several major breakthroughs in 2023. For example, we delivered 600 units natural gas city buses to Mexico, a fast growing market for us. Before that, we developed a tailor-made bus for trial operation in just three months”, revealed Wang Jin, Deputy General Manager of Golden Dragon Overseas Sales Company.
In Thailand, Golden Dragon electric buses greatly upgraded the country’s public transport network and started to provide greener and more convenient transportation services for local residents. In 2022, it secured orders of electric buses from customers in Thailand. In just one year, the number of Golden Dragon’s after-sales service engineers in the country reached 50.
In Mongolia, 200+ units new Golden Dragon city buses started operation in 2023. Thanks to the smooth operation of its city buses introduced in 2021, Golden Dragon succeeded in gaining a solid reputation in the country in a short time. By thoroughly investigating the local working conditions and customers’ special needs and requirements, the bus maker made a number of adjustments on its city buses accordingly.
In Europe, 155 units Golden Dragon electric buses started operation in Norway and Denmark.
“We have entered a new phase of development in our overseas sales which is mainly characterized by our KD projects in many countries across the globe partly because of the growing demand for our buses and partly because of the trade facilitation measures taken by some countries”, said Huang Ji, Deputy General Manager of Golden Dragon Overseas Sales Company.
In 2023, Golden Dragon’s KD project in Ethiopia created many job opportunities for local people and allowed some to become qualified and skilled engineers.
“We officially launched our KD projects in the overseas market in 2019. In just a few years, these projects bloomed in several countries, helping us gain precious experience and a number of bus orders in the overseas market”, said An Min, General Manager of Golden Dragon Overseas Sales Company.
Despite cut-throat competition in the global bus market, Golden Dragon has blazed a new trail and established a solid presence in both domestic and international market. By constantly sharpening its overall competitiveness through technological innovation and upgrading its after-sales service network, it is committed to playing a pivotal role in ushering in a brand new era of public transport featuring zero carbon emissions and instant connectedness for both buses and passengers.
