50 Units Electric Buses Equipped Microvast Fast Recharging Battery Systems Start Operation in South Korea
21 December 2023
Recently, 50 units electric buses equipped with Microvast 299 kWh fast recharging battery systems officially started operation in South Korea, upgrading the country’s green public transport network. Everyday, each bus drives nearly 18 hours with a mileage of about 300 km. By getting fast recharged twice or three times each day, it can fully meet the daily operation requirements.
In earlier 2018, a batch of new energy buses equipped with Microvast power batteries started operation in South Korea. So far, they have been working smoothly for over five years. Microvast has obtained the certificate from South Korean Ministry of Land and Resources. It fully meets the the requirements of power performances, cold endurance performances, and energy efficiency for new energy vehicles in South Korea.
By the end of November this year, a total number of over 700 units new energy buses equipped with Microvast power battery systems had been put into services in 15 cities on 69 bus routes across South Korea. To seek green and sustainable development, South Korea has been actively involved in promoting commercial operation of electric city buses.
Microvast is specialized in developing and marketing fast-recharging battery systems. So far, it has exported its products to 34 countries, working smoothly on new energy powered heavy-duty trucks, light trucks, city buses, passenger vehicles, engineering machinery and energy storage.
