CATL and Yutong Strike a Ten-Year Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On August, 9, CATL and Yutong officially inked a ten-year strategic cooperation agreement in Zhengzhou, the provincial capital of Henan Province.
According to the agreement, CATL and Yutong will share their resources in buses, heavy-duty trucks, engineering machinery, sanitation vehicles, etc. and strengthen their cooperation in research and development of new materials, new systems and new technologies. Apart from standardizing the battery technologies for commercial vehicles, the two parties will work more closely to explore the overseas market.
Since 2012, CATL and Yutong have been in good partnership all along. So far, CATL has provided 19GWh power batteries to nearly 150,000 units Yutong new energy buses, which have accumulated a total mileage of over 30 billion kilometers and cut carbon emissions by over 23 million tons in over 40 countries and regions across the world, including Qatar, France, Spain and the UK, etc. As Yutong’s biggest power battery supplier, CATL also provides clean energy for Yutong trucks, mixers, self-dumping trucks and sanitation vehicles.
