32 Units Golden Dragon New Energy City Buses Start Operation in Xianyou

On January 1, 32 units Golden Dragon new energy city buses (measuring 6.5-meter, 8.2-meter, 8.2-meter and 10.5-meter in length) officially started operation in Xianyou, ushering in a brand new era of public transportation for the county. Equipped with station-announcers, bus card swiping machine, fences for bus drivers, electronically controlled rear-view mirrors, emergency glass breaking device and USB portals, these buses provide greener and more convenient travel services for local residents.
According to Xianyou, the county opened five new bus routes on November 6, 2021, aiming to further promoting the integrated development of the county’s urban and rural areas. In addition, the 10.5-meter Golden Dragon new energy city buses are connecting the county’s railway station with densely populated urban areas while the 6.5-meter, 8.2-meter and 8.5-meter Golden Dragon new energy buses are driving on the mountainous areas across the county, meeting varied travel needs of passengers.
Currently, Xianyou boasts 136 units city buses and 130 units are entirely powered by electricity. So far, the county has 22 bus routes, covering all its urban and rural areas, providing travel services for over ten million passengers each year.
