On December 21, 20 units King Long carbon-fiber new energy buses were officially delivered to Jiaxing Haiyan Hongyuan Public Transport Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as Haiyan Public Transport) for operation.

Equipped with independent suspension driving system, King Long carbon-fiber new energy bus, measuring 10-meter in length, is able to load the same number of passenger as a 12-meter bus. As its in-wheel driving system has cut its weight by over 800 kg, the bus has further reduced its energy consumption by 14%-18%.

In August this year, the first batch of King Long carbon-fiber new energy buses officially went into service in Jiaxing.

Carbon fiber is a new material that is now widely used in aerospace and high-end passenger car industry. Featuring higher durability, higher safety standards and higher energy efficiency, the material is 10% more resilient compared with other normally used materials for vehicles but 30% less in its weight. It has been viewed as a great material to build vehicles that can achieve higher safety standards and provide more travel comforts.
