In recent years, Longgang city in Zhejiang Province has witnessed fast economic growth. However, passengers in the city center usually have difficulty in traveling due the poor public transport network and poor road conditions. Since 2020, Longgang opened four minibus routes and put 40 units Golden Dragon Astar mini-buses into service, which have provided great travel conveniences for local residents.
Measuring six-meter in length and two-meter in width, Golden Dragon Astar minibus officially made its debut in 2017. It is entirely powered by electricity. With 9 seats on board, it is able to load a maximum number of 19 passengers. With extremely high agility, it is an ideal choice for mini-bus routes in urban areas. Weighing only two tons, the electric minibus is readily adaptable to those demanding working conditions. So far, Astar minibuses have already made their way to Fujian, Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, etc.
To better service local residents, Longgang Public Transport has been extending the operation hours and putting more mini-buses on the road. All the bus routes covers the major commercial areas, residential communities, schools and wet markets in Longgang. Local people can easily enjoy the mini-bus service by simply waving their hands by the roadside. According to the local bus operator, it plans to introduce another batch of Astar electric minibuses in 2022.
