Last week, Youngman Automobile Group revealed to the public that it is likely to become the general agent for Lotus Elise at the end of this year. By then, it will introduce the environmentally friendly Exige 270E powered by bio-fuel engine to Chinese customers.  

Exige 270E made its debut at Shanghai International Auto Show in late April. Apart from its stylish appearance and premium controlling system, the car also features newly developed engine fueled by methanol, bio-ethanol and gasoline. With such a high level of environmental friendliness, Exige 270E still boasts quite superb driveline system. Assisted by the mechanical supercharger, the 1.8 liter engine mounted on the car enables it to generate 270 PS power and to travel at 255 km/h at the maximum. Moreover, It only takes 3.88 seconds to accelerate the car from standstill to 100 km/h.  

To date, Youngman Group has handed in its application for China’s general agent to the UK-based Group Lotus. Negotiations are expected to be held soon. If things go smoothly, Exige 270E will hit Chinese mainland by the end of this year.
