JAC Kicks off New Base Construction

On the morning of Apr. 30, 2009, JAC Coaches Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as JAC) held a grand ceremony to launch the construction of its new production base in Hefei, Anhui Province. Officials from related government agencies and leaders from JAC attended the ceremony.

WANG Jiang’an, president of JAC Group Coach Branch, pointed out that the construction of the new JAC coach production base marks a new milestone in the company’s development history.
With a total investment of RMB 810 million (about USD 118.761 million), the base covers a land area of 400 mu and a building area of about 130,000 square meters. It is expected that the construction work will complete by Oct. 2010. By then, the base will boast an annual production capacity of 12,000 units of buses & coaches and a sales income of RMB 2.5 billion (USD 366.569 million).
Added to JAC’s current production capacity, Hefei will be capable of building 20,000 units of buses & coaches each year, becoming another key coach building base following Zhengzhou and Xiamen in China.
