05 August 2020
As the co-host city of 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, Zhangjiakou city has put 74 units buses into service in the past two years, all of which are equipped with Cummins fuel cells dynamical system. So far, these vehicles have already recorded a combined mileage of over 20,000 km and provided travel services for over three million passengers.
On two major bus routes No. 23 and No. 33 are buses equipped with Cummins fuel cells dynamical system. Operation statistics show that each vehicle works over 14 hours and drives over 250 km each day. The fuel cell bus only consumes 6.7 kg of hydrogen for every 100 km.
To prepare for 2022 Winter Olympic Games, Zhangjiakou has been actively promoting greener development. It is now building its own hydrogen production base and hydrogen refilling stations. According to the schedule, 16 hydrogen refilling stations will be built by the end of 2021.
