ZF Opens a New Production Base in Vietnam

Recently, ZF’s first production base in Vietnam with a total investment of over 25 million euros officially started operation. Located in VinFast Automotive & Electric Motor Production Zone in Thành phố Hải Phòng, the production base is specialized in manufacturing axles for local auto makers.
Vietnam is one of the fastest growing auto markets in Southeast Asia. The new production base of ZF will help the company better serve its customers in the country, such as VinFast, Vietnam’s first and largest automaker which was established in 2017.
At the opening ceremony, Michael Hankel, a member of the Board of Directors of ZF, revealed that it would continue to deepen its cooperation with VinFast to strengthen its presence in the country.
Covering a total area of 44,000 square meters, ZF’s new factory in Vietnam is able to roll out 38 axles in just one hour.
Dr. Peter Holdmann, the person-in-charge of ZF Chassis Department, and James Deluca, vice CEO of VinFast’s Global Business Development Department attended the opening ceremony.
