Golden Dragon Rolls Out New Generation Triumph

17 May 2018

In 2013, in response to the changing bus transportation market, Golden Dragon developed Triumph series coaches, which immediately gained market recognition. Recently, the bus maker officially released its second generation Triumph coach. Together with Navigator, it is set to take the bus making industry by storm.

Unlike Navigator which was jointly developed by DCA and Golden Dragon, the new Triumph coach is single-handedly developed by Golden Dragon. Inheriting all the strengths of its predecessor, the vehicle has also seen a number of changes, such as more integrated LED lamps and more streamlined details. Its air-conditioning system has been repositioned on the roof the vehicle in its front, lowering the wind drag with a minimum height of 188 mm.

In terms of its interior design, Golden Dragon has adopted some new principles, including CMF (color, material and finishing). Its entry steps differentiate from those of other coaches not only in color and material, but also in finishing, immediately creating a sense of warmth and comfort among passengers.

The seating of the new Triumph coach has also been drastically changed by adopting the designing philosophy for a racing car. Customers who went on board immediately expressed their approval of the new seating, saying it offers passengers with more travel comforts.

The ceiling of the new Triumph is contrasted by the black and white colors for the ventilation and luggage racks. The aisle boasts a width of 563mm, leaving ample room for passengers. The driver’s cockpit has also optimized the view for drivers, effectively eliminating all the potential blind spots.

Currently, the new Triumph has several power solutions available to suit customers’ special needs, including Weichai WP7 engine with a replacement of 7.47 liters and a maximum 300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,250 N.m. It is also equipped with Fast 6DS100T transmission gearbox with a speed ratio of 0.77 when it is in its highest gear. Its Dongfeng 11t rear axle has a speed ratio of 3.91.

In Zhangjiajie, one of the destinations of Golden Dragon 2018 Nationwide Tour, the new Triumph coach appeared at Tianmen Mountain. A ride on the coach has offered every passenger an opportunity to experience the vehicle’s powerful performance and impressive braking capacity.

Thanks to its improved NVH and the use of sound insulation materials, the low noise level on board has also left all passengers with an indelible impression. When the new Triumph is set in an idle speed or reaches a speed of 50km/h, the noise recorded at the center of the vehicle is only about 52dB or 62dB.(www.chinabuses.org)
