Zhongtong Ready to Deliver 80 Units Buses to Xinjiang

www.chinabuses.org: Recently, Zhongtong revealed that Xinjiang Zhongtong, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, had almost completed the construction of 80 units 10.5-meter natural gas powered city buses. Soon, this batch of new buses will be put into operation in Urumqi, the capital city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Specifically, all new buses ready for delivery are LCK6109DGC, Zhongtong’s classic bus model. With its engine mounted at the front, LCK6109DGC made its debut in 2012 and soon made its way to many cities across China. For a long time, it has gained a reputation as the King of Performance. In addition, it has been exported to many countries in South America and Africa.
According to the bus operator, this is the biggest bus purchase for the autonomous reigon in recent years. So far, Zhongtong buses accounted for over 70% of the overall natural gas powered bus fleet in Urumqi. The delivery of this new batch of Zhongtong buses will further solidify its leading position in Urumqi.
Thanks to its rich natural resources, natural gas powered city buses have long been the main force in the public transport market. In Urumqi alone, the number of natural gas powered buses have exceeded 2,00o units.
In 2010, Zhongtong natural gas buses officially entered Urumqi public transport. To suit the local market, Zhongtong specially rolled out XJ6108, a tailor-made star product for Xinjiang bus market. To date, the number of Zhongtong XJ6108 has come close to 1,300 units, becoming the undisputed champion in the local market. In addition, Urumqi bought 30 units 18-meter natural gas BRT buses in 2015. One year later, it bought 90 units Zhongtong new energy buses.
