Securing the deal with a total value of 48.42 million USD (about 333 million RMB) back in April this year, these buses will soon arrive in Saudi Arabia for operation, representing a huge step forward for the bus maker’s globalization.

Ankai A9 is one of the company’s fist products chiefly targeted at the high-end passenger transport, business reception and commuting service market. Back in 2007, Ankai started doing business in Saudi Arabia. In 2011, a total number of 3,000 units school buses arrived in Saudi Arabia to serve local school kids. In 2016, 51 units Ankai A8 coaches for the high-end market were shipped to Saudi Arabia for operation. After a decade, the number of Ankai buses in the country has exceeded 5,000 units.
