Due to its high altitude, Tibet is a challenge place for all buses. In order to meet the stringent operation requirements set by their buyer, Lhasa Transportation Industry Group, Higer has made a host of technological improvements, such as H5C’s driveline and seat layout.

Considering the lack of oxygen in high altitude, Higer H5C is equipped with a gasoline engine instead of a diesel powered engine. More specifically, the 4RB2 gasoline engine has further cut its weight and improved its rigidity. Its DOHC technology reduces fuel consumption significantly and further improves the vehicle’s overall performance. Its gearbox case is made of cast aluminum, which is lighter in weight and generates less noise. With electronically controlled acceleration pedal, the vehicle is more easily maneuverable. A total number of 14 seats are arranged in five rows on board. Thanks to its air-conditioning system and ventilation devices, passengers are blessed with a more comfortable ride experience. At the back of the vehicle, space is made available for luggage. Other highlights of the vehicle include ABS + EBD, aluminum alloy wheels, front fog lamps, backing radar, electronically controlled window and rear-view mirror.

Measuring 1,880 mm in width, Higer H5C has a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. The vehicle is particularly made as a business coach by the bus maker to target at the light bus market.

Lhasa Transportation Industry Group has set up strategic cooperative ties with Higer. In 2016 alone, the bus operator bought a total number of 270 units Higer buses. At present, Higer buses are playing an increasingly important role in transporting passengers in Tibet.
