Hengtong Bus’s 09 New Model to Debut Soon

Mar. 25, 2009: Hengtong will put its 2009 new bus models on display in Chongqing. Showcasing the coach builder's 21 new vehicles, including the prize winners 12-meter gas-electric hybrid coach CKZ6116HENV3 and 11-meter fuel-electric hybrid coach CKZ6116HEV3 at the seventh Beijing International Coach, Auto Parts & Accessories Exhibition. The display is expected to attract 50 public transport companies from both home and abroad.

Being different from former years, apart from a grand show of the company’s new products, a seminar on new energy coach will also be held at the same time.
This time will also show four new model mini-buses. It is reported that two of LB5 mini-series are Hengtong minibus another breakthrough in the field. LB5 combine the advantage of mini buses and mini-vans distinguishing to the bad durability disadvantage of ordinary commercial vehicle, adopting domestic unique non-load-style body and chassis split structure reaching its carrying capacity 3.8-4.2 tons, sturdy and durable security superior performance.

Hengtong’s new model, CKZ6762HN3, to be displayed soon, with a seven-meter-long body frame and a high capacity utilization ratio, is widely deemed as a good model for urban sub-line public transportation. With horizontally mounted engine in the rear, the first of its kind in China, the bus can meet the National III Emission Standard and reduce emissions by over 1,500 kilograms each year. Moreover, it improves fuel economy significantly and can save fuel by more than 15,000 liters a year. Other highlights of the new bus model include low floor, spacious interior and barrier-free facilities.

Also on display are Hengtong’s four brand new mini-buses, which mark another breakthrough for the company in the area of light-duty coaches. With a bearing capacity of 3.8-4.2 tons and a sturdier body frame, the mini-bus provides passengers with larger space and a wider aisle.

In addition, Hengtong’s CKZ6127CHN3, a twelve-meter-long bus jointly powered by fuel-gas mix and the winner for Original Bus Design from BAAV, saves 13,000 liters of fuel and cuts emissions by 2,500 kilograms each year.
