1. Development situation and type classification in overseas market

There are mainly ten manufacturers in Western countries, including three in Germany, three in Spain and each one in Holland, Italy, Canada and Belgium, which sell 250-300 units totally per year. German Neoplan Company, as one of the earliest manufacturers, developed one super-large double-decker (15m long, 4.5m wide and 4.5m high) in 1981, capable of transporting all the passengers in a 340-seat airplane. (1) Airport shuttle bus is used to transport passengers between departure lounge and apron. The max capacity must be no less than 120 persons, seats must be no less than six and passenger compartment must be no less than 23 m2.

(2) Permit of special equipment for civil airport issued by CAAC is essential and technical index must live up to the following standards:

(3)The dimension must be less than 14000×3000×3200mm

(4) Passenger cabin doors: 4; driving cabin doors: 2.

(5) The area near the doors should be partitioned for wheelchairs and fastening equipment.

(6) The driver cabin and passenger compartment, equipped with A/Cs respectively, should be separated by transparent partition.

(7) There should be interphone in driver cabin and monitoring device in passenger compartment.

(8) Body painting and signs must conform with relevant regulations.

3. Relevant Data of Domestic Market in 2012

Incomplete statistics says a total of 231 airport shuttle buses were purchased in 2012, including 111 13.8m ones, 72 13.1m ones, 13 9-10m ones and 14 others; 69 domestic ones and 42 imported ones in 13.8m and 49 domestic ones and 23 imported ones in 13.1m.
