China New Energy Van Sales in April: 18,500 Units Sold

In April 2025,  China new energy VAN vehicles (including models ranging from 4.5 meters to 7 meters in length, with a focus on enclosed van-type light commercial logistics vehicles between 4.5 meters and 6 meters, hereinafter the same) reached 18,477 units, marking a year-on-year decrease of 15.93% and a month-on-month decrease of 27.25%. This indicates a "double decline" in both year-on-year and month-on-month sales for new energy light commercial vehicles in April this year.

From January to April 2025, cumulative sales of new energy VAN vehicles reached 72,281 units, with a cumulative year-on-year increase of 15%. This growth rate has narrowed by nearly 17 percentage points compared to the 32% growth rate seen in the first three months of this year.

Among the new energy VAN vehicles sales in April 2025:

SAIC-GM-Wuling sold 4,915 units, dominating the rankings with a year-on-year increase of 42.38% and a market share of 26.6%. It is reported that the Wuling Yanguang model contributed significantly to these sales;

Changan Automobile sold 2,868 units, ranking second with a year-on-year increase of 16.73% and a market share of 15.52%;

Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle sold 2,783 units, ranking third with a year-on-year decrease of 27.20% and a market share of 15.06%;

Foton Tuano sold 1,652 units, ranking fourth with a year-on-year increase of 47.63% and a market share of 8.94%;

SAIC MAXUS sold 1,366 units, ranking fifth with a year-on-year increase of 26.25% and a market share of 7.39%;

JMC sold 1,044 units, also ranking fifth (note: there seems to be a tie for fifth place, which may require clarification in the original data) with a year-on-year increase of 118.41%.

In the cumulative sales of new energy VAN vehicles from January to April 2025:

SAIC-GM-Wuling sold a cumulative 17,897 units, experiencing a staggering year-on-year increase of 226.53% and a market share of 24.76%;

Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle sold a cumulative 12,439 units, ranking second with a year-on-year increase of 4.32% and a market share of 17.21%;

Changan Automobile sold a cumulative 9,661 units, ranking third with a year-on-year increase of 39.77% and a market share of 13.37%;

Chongqing Ruichi Automobile sold a cumulative 6,112 units, ranking fourth with a year-on-year decrease of 11.59% and a market share of 11.02%;

Foton Tuano sold a cumulative 4,970 units, ranking fifth with a year-on-year increase of 18.87% and a market share of 6.88%;

SAIC MAXUS sold a cumulative 4,128 units, ranking sixth with a year-on-year increase of 18.48% and a market share of 5.55%.
