China Sold 3,905 Units Buses (≥5 meters in length) in February

According to the latest statistics, China sold 3,905 units buses (≥5 meters in length) in February, down by 1.9% year on year. More specifically, the country sold 1,896 units road coaches, up by 17% year on year and accounting for 47.8% of the total monthly sales; it sold 1,892 units city buses, down by 11.2% year on year and accounting for 47.7% of the total monthly sales; it sold 177 units school buses, down by 39% year on year and accounting for 4.5% of the total monthly sales. In February, Higer was the biggest winner in the road coach market with its monthly sales jumping by 206.9% year on year; Golden Dragon claimed the championship in terms of the sales growth in city bus market, up by 664.9% year on year; Zhongtong’s school bus sales exploded by a whopping 1,180% year on year, witnessing the fastest growth in the market.
Also in February, Jiangsu was the top destination for road coaches with the sales in the province accounting for 10.2% of China’s total; Zhejiang came the first as the destination of city buses with the sales in the province accounting for 9.9% of China’s total; Guangxi claimed the champion in the sales of school buses with the sales in the autonomous region accounting for 9.0% of China’s total.

From January to February this year, China sold 8,008 units buses (≥5 meters in length), down by 25.5% year on year. More specifically, the country sold 3,914 units road coaches, down by 20.4% year on year; it sold 3,518 units city buses, down by 31.4% year on year; it sold 576 units school buses, down by 17.5% year on year. For the percentage of these different types of buses in the total bus sales in the first two months, please refer to Table 3 below.
