2020 has drawn to an end and it is well worth remembering. In January, Zhongtong spared no effort to fight against COVID-19 with all people across China. In March, it quickly restored its production and rolled out negative pressure ambulances, mobile CT vehicles and nucleic acid testing vehicles.

Also in March, Zhongtong launched campaigns to raise public’s awareness of travel safety for school kids. As schools gradually returned to normality in earlier May, Zhongtong school buses provided safe and comfortable commute services for thousands of school children in Guangdong, Jilin, Shandong, Hunan, Anhui, Henan and Jiangsu.

To achieve more integrated development of urban and rural areas, Zhongtong buses were put into operation in Tibet, Hubei, Shandong and Jiangxi. Thanks to them, people in the countryside enjoy more travel conveniences.

In May, over 200 units Zhongtong new N series electric buses made their debut. Later, Zhongtong fuel cell buses started operation in Weifang, Foshan and Zhangjiakou.

In September, Zhongtong Ruitong V60 was revealed to the public; in November, Zhongtong super coach H12 made a high-profile debut. These new buses are set to further strengthening the bus maker’s overall competitiveness

In the overseas market, Zhongtong continued to increase its market share in the high-end bus market in Saudi Arabia; it helped Argentina build the country’s first electric bus routes and some new natural gas powered bus routes; it also handed over some new buses to Mexico; in Philippines, 200 Zhongtong buses transformed themselves into jeepneys to provide greener and more convenient travel services for local people.

Also in 2020, Zhongtong officially rolled out intelligent public transport solutions. Its autonomous driving bus won the first prize in CAB-C China Autonomous Driving Vehicle Competition. The bus maker also obtained the first plate in China for the operation of autonomous driving buses.

Also worth noting is that Zhongtong won some major awards in 2020, including China National Technological Progress Award, 2020 China Quality Award, Top 20 Auto Brands in China, Technological Innovation Award in China Transport Industry, etc.
