On August 18, King Long, one of the leading bus makers in China, officially launched 2020 Summer Camp for 25 students.

After arriving at the production headquarters of King Long, students first had some ice-breaking activities to get familiar with one another. Then, they are divided into four teams with special names.

Later, all camping members visited King Long’s Brand Exhibition Hall, which gives them an opportunity to know commercial vehicles, the time when China produced its first bus and major destinations for China’s bus exports. They also showed keen interest in the development of China’s bus industry and the bus manufacturing process.

After visiting King Long’s Brand Exhibition Hall, students went to King Long’s light bus production base, where they could take a closer look at the punching, welding, electrophoresis, coating and assembly lines. They all were amazed at how advanced technologies can make wonders in real life.

After a short lunch break, all campers were extremely excited as they could board China’s first L4-level autonomous driving bus Apolong and take a ride with it. King Long engineers also showed them how an autonomous bus was working and how it could perform such tasks as avoiding barriers and overtake other vehicles.

Students also paid a visit to King Long’s Bus Safety Hall, which vividly showed them what to do to save their own lives when fires, earthquakes or traffic accidents occur.

In the end, each team worked together to build a bus model and participated in a Q&A competition, completing their one-day trip to King Long. Students said such a trip was very meaningful and they had a wonderful day visiting King Long.
