www.chinabuses.org: Recently, Zhongtong beat eight other rivals and successfully secured an order of 200 units 10.5-meter plug-in hybrid city buses from Zibo. All these vehicles are scheduled to arrive in Zibo in late October this year.

In 2015, a total number of 232 units 10.5-meter plug-in hybrid city buses made by Zhongtong were delivered to their customers in Zibo, becoming the first batch of new energy buses in the city. One year later, 172 units Zhongtong plug-in hybrid city buses were again put into operation in Zibo, making the total number of Zhongtong plug-in hybrid city buses rise to 404 units.

Equipped with the state-of-art plug-in hybrid system, Zhongtong bus has mounted a torsional absorber and EMT automatic transmission gearbox between its engine and driving motor. Thanks to its optimized structure and the use of high strength materials, the vehicle has cut its weight to the minimum. In addition, its high insulation level and high protection level fully ensure the smooth operation of the vehicle.

Boasting high reliability and maneuverability, Zhongtong plug-in hybrid city buses have made their way to a number of cities in Shandong. Also, they can be readily seen in Zhejiang, Anhui, Tianjin, Guangxi, Guangdong, Liaoning, Jilin and Inner Mongolia. Currently, the total number of Zhongtong plug-in hybrid buses in operation is close to 10,000 units.
