Ankai Holds New Energy Bus Industry Development Summit in Lujiang

28 April 2017

www.chinabuses.org: On April 21, Ankai held New Energy Bus Industry Development Summit in Lujiang, Anhui province. Over 200 participants from Anhui, Beijing, Henan, Hebei and Fujian gathered to share insights on the development trends in China’s new energy bus industry and viewed the latest technological advances made by Ankai.

In August 2016, Safety Technology Requirements on Electric Buses was officially released by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). At the summit, experts inside the new energy bus industry were invited to share their interpretations on the requirements. Pan Yishan, Deputy Director of New Energy Vehicle Engineering Research Institute attached to Hefei Industrial University, Liu Peng, from state-level Electric Vehicle Engineering Lab attached to Beijing Institute of Technology, Xia Bangjin, Deputy General Manager of Hefei Public Transport Group, Wu Yongqiang, Editor-in-Chief of Chinabuses.org, and Ding Zhuanji, Director of Ankai New Energy Bus Research Institute, were invited to speak at the summit.

As an emerging industry of strategic importance, the new energy vehicle industry was re-oriented to a market-driven development road at the end of 2016 along with the dwindling subsidies from the government. This has inevitably led to a fiercer competition for all bus makers. Moreover, customers have become more selective when it comes to choosing buses for operation.

Against such a backdrop, Ankai has never been deterred. Instead, it has been gaining constantly rising popularity among customers thanks to its continued efforts in pushing forward industrial upgrading and making technological innovations.

As one of the pioneers in China’s new energy vehicle industry, Ankai has built internationally competitive research and manufacturing platform for new energy buses. Thanks to the concerted efforts of all its employees, the bus maker has made a host of technological breakthroughs in recent years.

Currently, Ankai is able to produce a whole spectrum of electric and plug-in hybrid city buses, travel coaches, and commuting vehicles measuring from 6 meters to 12 meters in length. A number of key spare parts and components, such as whole-vehicle control systems, driving electric motors, BMS, insulation testing systems, and controllers for electric motors, all of which have been independently developed by Ankai, have realized commercialization on new energy vehicles. In 2016, Ankai ISG plug-in hybrid systems and permanent magnetic motor, officially rolled out to the public, pushing China’s new energy bus manufacturing industry to a new high level.

Always bearing customers’ special needs in mind, Ankai has played a key role in ushering the era of “active care for customers”. Based on its constantly expanding service team, the bus maker has stood out among all its competitors and successfully strengthened its brand image among all customers both home and abroad.
